And here's what they look like today:
(2014 Junior year of high school no makeup)
They're not the best, but honestly they're better than what they were. How did they get here? From freshman to junior year I changed my diet drastically. Many don't believe that what you eat shows up in your hair, skin and nails so they eat poorly and wish for beauty, sadly there's a slim to none chance this will happen. I drank a lot more water daily, ate more fruits and vegetables daily and got active at least three times a week.
The getting active part helped with my stress and depression as well. When you work out you work off the built up tension inside of you. This allows you to express yourself in a healthier way. I found myself to be calmer and thinking clearly when I started working out. I became more aware of the things I was doing so I was able to stop the pulling of my lashes and eyebrows because I was then conscious of what I was doing.
Mental health plays a role in beauty as well. If you're sad it will show eventually. We may try to cover it up with makeup, but some blemishes are much too deep for that. My advice to you is to get help, no matter if you feel no one can relate.. GET HELP! You don't want to damage your appearance or anything worse.
In this big world of beauty you never know who may share the same struggles as you. Tell a trusted friend or if you feel you have no one you can always call on Trevor... I did many nights. They are the best in simply being a listing ear when you need it most.
Still think buying lashes is better than working for them? Take it from me, when you work hard for your lashes and eyebrows you cherish them more, you love them more and hey, they do look better than those strips and drawn on things (no shade).
