Chapstick

Chapstick!!!! What every beauty needs. Under lipstick, under lipgloss, as your main lip wear! Chapstick is your friend. I've seen a few too many people with slip lips, dead skin and cracked lipstick all because they refuse to give into the cost of the $1. It's easy people... Just wear it.
Some great options are anything with SPF and Aloe Vera. These two things protect and moisturize your lips during the drying months of winter and summer.
Around the spring and fall times you can play around with your options and go with a fun tinted one like the "Baby Lips" collection. My favorite line is the "Dr.Rescue Baby Lips," it leaves your lips with a tingling sensation and a light color.
This one single beauty product is probably the cheapest yet most important of them all. If you don't trust anything else I say, please trust this: LIP BALM SAVES LIVES!!!!!!

From brunette to blonde.

Versatility is extremely important as a trendsetter. I always encourage women and men to be diverse ,and become a risk taker. Be bold. Be daring.

I also like to practice what I preach. So early Saturday morning I decided I was going to dye my hair. Now remember ladies and gents I recently chopped my hair off about 3 weeks ago. With that being said in my mid dye decision I also chose the lightest color I could think of, blonde.

Blonde is very daring, bright and bold! And like most I tend to enjoy lighting up the room when I walk in. Remember to be you and have fun while you're doing it! Be creative with your hair colors. Whether it's blonde, blue or purple you'll be fierce and fabulous!

Beat Face

Ever had problems with getting the right highlight and contour to achieve the ultimate beat face? Well search no more! I have the perfect guide for you!

If you're wondering why the round face in the top right corner is missing the highlight portion, I'll tell you where exactly to place your concealer. Keep the highlight on the top center of the forehead, down the bridge of the nose, and on the chin, to make the face appear more elongated. In the picture below, I also highlighted under my eyes down to the top of my cheekbones to cover up bags and create a natural glow. I also highlighted my Cupid's bow above my top lip to give the illusion of a fuller lip.

The proper and easy way to do a highlight and contour is to use cream based products for an easy blend. Apply your foundation first, then your light and dark concealers. Your light concealer should be at least two shades lighter than your skin and your dark concealer should be two shades darker than your tone. After everything is in the right place, use your beauty blender/sponge to blend everything in. Next apply your blush and bronzer, if you chose, to get a deeper contour.

Now you're ready to share with the world your #BeatToTheGawds face! Enjoy your custom look made just for your face shape!

Mama Munster

Tess Munster... My plus mama!

She was named one of the world's top plus size models by Refinery 29, Huff post and Vogue Italia! She is one of the most confident women I've ever seen in my life, I can only pray for confidence like hers. Tess in my eyes is the kind of woman that is just mouth wateringly fierce. With a look that is sure to leave you speechless, she is modeling GOLD! More than just a pretty face, she's a Blogger ... Being able to take pictures almost in the nude with no problem has always been a dream of mine, and Mama Munster does it effortlessly. I wonder what one has to go through or, has gone through to master that level of love for themselves.?!?!?! Ladies tell us on Twitter what caused you to reach the level of confidence you have now. Where do you want to be if you haven't achieved it already?

October Issues

Nicki Minaj is about her business boys. Young Money’s First Lady suits up for the October cover of Italian men’s magazine L’Uomo Vogue. The black-and-white pictures were taken by famed photographer/director Francesco Carrozzini, who directed Beyoncé's Jealous video.

Nicki rocks a chic black page boy bob and a masculine inspired wardrobe. She is serving life in these classy but provocative pics.

The Big Chop!

So guys and gals I cut my hair! Nowadays you see so many girls worrying about how long there hair needs to be or the next 22" inch Malaysian weave they need to buy. Long hair is extremely overrated in my eyes. So to stand out I cut mine off.

I was truly inspired by Meagan Good and Rhianna. So I did my own rendition of their looks put together.

It's a chic version of a Mohawk. I have both of my sides shaved and flawless full curls going down the middle.

Take a chance and stand out! But in the end don't forget to be you and own it DAHLING!

Homecoming with Jazz

In the spirit of homecoming season I will give you girls a few tips to have one of the best nights of your life.

Tip one: Find clothes you will be comfortable in ALL nights. I'm sure you girls love to twerk (so do I, lol) so it's mandatory to find an outfit that you can move and groove in without any rips or slips. For me a nice crop and a high waist skirt worked just fine. The material of the skirt was stretchy so it allowed my body to move easily, it also provided a bit of tummy control to make my shape appear a bit more flattering. My shirt was a high low crop with a detailed button back. This gave me the risky yet classy look.
                Back of the shirt
Tip two: HEELS!!!! If you go back to my previous post on thick heels for thick girls, you'll have a more in debt understanding of the kind of shoe you're suppose to wear if you're one of my curvy sisters. However, the heel I wore to homecoming broke a few of those rules which is okay to do every now and then. My homecoming shoe had a less of a thick heel than I'm use to, but to give me the all night support my shoe had a bit of a platform. Platforms provide support for the ball of your feet while the actual heel supports the back (the heel) giving you an equal balance of weight on your feet. A good heel for dancing all night is a requirement. If your shoe isn't comfortable it's guaranteed you will not enjoy your night, and we want to have all the fun we can on homecoming.

Tip three: MAKE UP!!!! Homecoming is one of the few nights in a girls life that she should be excited to put on make-up. However, here at Faced With Fashion we like to always remember skin health before make-up so, what I did on my homecoming night was wear a face mask for 20 minutes in the shower. I used an inexpensive dollar face mask from forever 21, I highly recommend it. This mask allowed my make-up to go on smoothly and to actually stay in place all night. For a dollar you can never go wrong.

Tip four: Nails and Toes! No need to spend an arm and a leg to get them done, I did mine myself before homecoming. I'd recommend doing your nails because it helps to give you a finished and complete look. No need to get all fancy, just a plain bold color to pop your outfit.
