Throwback no Thursday

Tapered trousers, harem pants, drop-waist pants – whatever you call them, this pants trend is giving skinny jeans a run for their money. These throwback trousers are set to be the runner-up against skinny jeans.

I love the diversity harem pants bring to an outfit. They can easily be matched with a Tshirt, a jean jacket and a pair of sneaks to achieve a casual look. Or if you're going for a look with some class a blazer, corset and a pump would execute the look perfectly!

   The biggest advantage about harem
pants is that they range from different colors, patterns, shapes, sizes and lengths! There is never a full moment with these pants.

Harem pants by far are my favorite trend of the season!

Fashionista After My Own Heart

Karrueche Tran. Lil Rue is what I like to call her. This bombshell has been on my radar since Chris introduced her bare back on his twitter. I never knew why I was drawn to her in particular, but I just was. When she started frequenting events I knew why. Her fashion is always on point! Ms. Tran is always dressed to kill even on her bummy days. Being that she was working in the fashion industry before she even met Chris, could be the reason why she's never off. Yes, Lil Rue used to be a personal shopper for Nordstrom and then a private fashion consultant to celebs. Baby knows her stuff! I find myself always liking her Instagram photos without even thinking because they always speak to my soul. I love her fashion sense and style.

If you aren't already, go follow this sexy fashion bomb on IG to see more of her impeccable style at @Karrueche.

Thick heels for thick girls

Okay ladies it's time that I, your fluffy sister has finally said this. It isn't to make fun of you or make you feel bad, but look boo... You need a thicker heel. No more skinny heels for everyday wear. I know you think they're cute and you think you can get through the day, but sweetie do your feet a favor and get you some thicker heels.
These are the facts that they don't care for you to know:
1. Thick heel = Support tailored to a big girl.
2: Thick heel = Less of a chance of falling  (this comes in handy in public).
3: Thick heel = Less back pain! We know we like to blame our large chests, but our feet contribute to a painful back just as much.

You may not know this so I'll tell you: 1/2 of the things that go wrong with us in health is because we don't take care of our feet.

So not only is wearing a more supportive heel important, but scrubbing your feet nightly with a foor scrubber removes the dead skin from your daily walking and puts less pressure on you.
Thick heels can be just as fashionable as a skinny one any day.

It's the Balm!

Want to add something to your Lippie Library but you're over lipstick, however you still want that color brought to your lips? Well, how about using the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain? I know it's been out for a while, but I've just started using it for about a month now. And when I say I got my life...! This product will bring you color, moisture, protection, and correction to your lips. My lips have never felt as smooth before using this product. Although I have tried all shades, my favorites are Darling, Lovesick, and Cherish. You can find them at your local drug store, Walmart, Target, or Ulta. Not to mention they are rather inexpensive. Go grab one or two right away! And when you do, tag me on IG/Twitter at @LushLipsPink using the hashtags #FacedWithFashion & #FWFLippies!

#MOTD

Now, it's not everyday that I do a full makeup look. Most of the time I slap on some tinted moisturizer, blush, and mascara and live my life. But today I felt especially chipper and decided to do a full look. It was simple and could be worn as an everyday look.

What I used:

NYX eyeshadow in the colors Dust Sparkle and Rust.
NARS tinted moisturizer in St. Moritz.
Kat Von D liquid pen eyeliner in Trooper.
Cargo blush in Ibiza.
Covergirl Flamed Out mascara in blackest black.
Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade of Dollhouse Pink.

A closer look:

The Miseducation of the Black pantie...

Supportive bras and black panties, two things every diva needs. I was 13 when I bought my first pair of black undies and boy was I excited. I was scared too, see I wasn’t suppose to have them because they were too “sexy”. It wasn’t a G-string or any crazy thing like that, they were a pair of 100% cotton Hanes bikini cut panties. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out why was it such a big deal that I had them. I didn’t understand this big deal until now at the age of 16.

For those of you who don’t know, there is a miseducation on black underwear. It’s always said to be sexy and no one wants their 13 year old being anything near sexy. I honestly wanted the black ones over the white because I felt like I was way too old to be sitting in those old white granny type underpants that my Aunt would always pick out. They were always either two sizes too big or just plain ugly and because I was of age and could go shopping alone, I got me a pair.

Black is considered to be a color along with red that represents passion, love and of course sex. Don’t believe me? Why are red and black two of the most worn and advertised colors during valentines day? I think the media plays a role in how black underclothes are looked at as well. We all know that any woman wearing anything less than clothes is a sex symbol, but it’s something about that women in black that pulls in everyone, most importantly men. So, to have your teen in what men look at is horrifying to any mother.

I think that this idea behind the black pantie can be a little over exaggerated sometimes. For one, it’s becoming more and more popular that women and girls wear a black undergarment while on their menstrual cycle. In case of a leak black allows the color of the fluid to not show up as obvious as any other color. This saves a lot of girls from many days of embarrassing moments, so in this case I believe that young girls should be allowed to wear the black undies. Many believe black panties much like a girls cycle is kind of like a right of passage into womanhood, and I believe this to be true. So, in my opinion when a girl gets her first period she should also get her first pair of black underwear. I however, had to wait 2 whole years due to my upbringing and the odd rules of my home. I really would like to hear the opinions of you ladies. Tweet us @FWFblog and tell us what you think.

Pretty Girl w/ a Crooked Smile

Never did I ever in life think I would be proud of my Crooked smile. Never did I think I would accept it. I never thought In a million years I would ever smile effortlessly without thinking twice. But in all honesty it took a while to get here because like all insecurities they take a while to get over. It takes years to become the person who embraces her flaw and uses it to realize the very thing that makes her human, and different from the rest is the thing that makes gets unique.. Once this girl realized that she then became more powerful then ever before! To celebrate her flaw and be one with her smile. It is then that she knows the real beauty is always inside her heart and not even within her physical appearance. Most of all she became her own cheerleader, and took note of her own progress, perseverance and inner strength. Affirming her smile and believing in herself! After becoming one with her insecurities she is now happier than ever before! Nobody can ever make her feel terrible about what use to hold her back, because she crossed that bridge years ago and never to look back again! Rather it be a smile or a simple pimple embrace your flaw because it's what makes you, YOU!

Signed, A Pretty Girl with a Crooked Smile

Big and Beautiful

Growing up my biggest insecurity were the size of my lips. They are very thick, full and well rounded. All the kids throughout my elementary and middle school years all made fun of me because of them. Soup coolers is what they referred to them as. Even until this day I still get very rude comments about them. Often sexual ones too.

All the condescending remarks built my insecurity and it made it extremely hard to embrace them. I had a very difficult time accepting my physical appearance. I started to even believe that I was ugly... I hated myself for having big lips.

As I got older I noticed that full lips were trending. Stars such as Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian were partaking in extremities such as getting lip injections to achieve this look. That's when I finally came to my senses. Full lips and all I was beautiful and if anyone said anything otherwise it did not matter! I learned to love myself because I was created this way.

Learn to love yourself flaws and all because they are what make you into the beautiful women or men you are today. Embrace them like there is no tomorrow and don't let anyone tell you anything different.

  YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
