Hiding That Holiday Belly

Hey there ladies!
In the good spirit of the holiday, we all know we can gain about 4 LBS. We can't get rid of the good food, BUT we can get rid of that extra belly. Two solutions:  Portion control! Portion control! Portion control! OR a chubby girls super woman- SPANX!
You probably know about these from years ago when Oprah Winfrey talked about them on The Oprah Show. This line of shapewear is something every woman should have in her closet. These are good to suck in the jiggle when you're wearing anything from your favorite pair of jeans to your date night freakum dress.

Need help with sizing? Never fear, Jazz is here. Visit the Spanx Size Charts to know what shapewear is best for you. Often times we think we can't get that perfect body, but we actually can. We also must remember we can't wear shapewear forever, so keeping in good health is important ladies. You don't have to watch and count the calories of everything you eat, just eat smart. Smart eating is a lifestyle we all should consider. Take into consideration the simple things like what you drink, not just around the holiday but everyday. Things high in sugar can really help you pack on the pounds. Drink water!!! Water! Water! Water! This helps to flush your system and keep your insides clean and pretty like your outsides ;-).

And if it helps, think of it as you treating your body like someone you love. You'd do anything to keep your loved ones happy, right?! Enjoy yourselves and have a wonderful and safe holiday. -Jazzmine

To my love.. Forever and Always

I've always struggled to find my balance within you. But once I did I fell hard and madly in love. With you I am able to be myself. With all the different fabrics, patterns, colors and designs I was finally given the chance to express myself through you! Thank you for teaching me how to love myself despite what others say. You have have taught me how to be a trendsetter, a diva and better yet a fashion guru! I am continuing to grow into a beautiful fierce woman because of you. Thank you for teaching me the ins and outs and because of that I turn heads! To fashion... The love of my life.

Fierce & Love,

Darianna J.

To the Love of My Life,

I can't remember the exact day that I fell in love with you fashion. But what I do know, is that when I did, I fell hard. You captured my heart in a way that no one or anything ever could. You allowed me to be myself and accepted me for it. Every stitch on every fabric is filled with your love for me, I know it is. I feel it every time I get dressed. Fashion taught me how to love and accept myself for what I was, a fly curvy diva that cares not of what anyone else thinks about her. For that I would like to say Thank You to Fashion for always being there for a girl like me. I love you forever and always.

Besos,
Ashley Marie

A Jazzy note to fashion

You have been my greatest friend and my greatest enemy in life. Sometimes I hated you because you were much too sickening for me to pull off. And at times you made me feel uncomfortable, skirt too short, v-neck too low, ooooh boy the joys of being a Diva. And sometimes you made me feel myself. I could pick the darkest fabric and hide in you. I grew into a woman under your spell. Constantly growing and changing, I have gained the courage to walk down paths in life I could never have if my shoes didn't look right. Fashion... The sister I wish I had. I love you. Forever.
                           Sincerely, Jazz ❤️

For the Love of Foundation!

So a year or so ago, I was in Sephora looking for help with finding my right foundation color. They went through different brands and long speeches of what would be best for my complexion and combination skin. While during this search, I discovered the brand NARS. They have both foundation and tinted moisturizer. I did not know this at first though, so in my mind I'm thinking I'm about to purchase foundation but got tinted moisturizer instead.

Although both can give you coverage, I was looking for a more heavier coverage at the time. I went home and discovered my mistake. After freaking out, I threw the product in one of my bins to never hear from it again. Until recently that is. A few months ago around, September or so, I had run out of foundation and had no funds to replenish my supply. After searching through my extensive makeup library, I discovered the tinted moisturizer.

Still apprehensive, I decided to use it. I ditched my normal brush application and applied it using my hands. The product gave my face a wet look at first, but it was nothing my beauty blender sponge couldn't handle. After I applied my concealer, blush, and bronzer I had never seen a more flawless look. I was highly pleased and ashamed that I had completely written it off in the first place.

Now, I can't see myself living without it! It smooths and gives my skin a healthy glow. Not to mention it does wonders for my skin while on. Plus it gives light to medium coverage so my face isn't weighed down with products. Before I would hate to leave out of the house without any coverage, but after just 3 months of using the product, my skin is healthier and I feel comfortable ditching the makeup all together. It turned out that a horrible mistake can actually be a blessing in disguise. Moral of the story, never judge a tube, compact, and/or jar by its label. Always try things out even if it's not what you originally wanted, you might be surprised.

The NARS brand can be purchased at Sephora, Ulta, or online at narscosmetics.com.

The Journey...

If you can't have them naturally... Buy them, some may think. BUT I prefer natural! Let me be honest, I've always had amazingly long lashes but they haven't always been healthy. They use to struggle right along with my eyebrows. I'm not sure what the technical name for this problem is, but stress, depression, nervousness and a POOR diet would cause me to pull my lashes and eyebrows without knowing. My eyebrows use to look almost nonexistent:
(2012 Freshmen year of high school no makeup )

And here's what they look like today:
(2014 Junior year of high school no makeup)
They're not the best, but honestly they're better than what they were. How did they get here? From freshman to junior year I changed my diet drastically. Many don't believe that what you eat shows up in your hair, skin and nails so they eat poorly and wish for beauty, sadly there's a slim to none chance this will happen. I drank a lot more water daily, ate more fruits and vegetables daily and got active at least three times a week.

The getting active part helped with my stress and depression as well. When you work out you work off the built up tension inside of you. This allows you to express yourself in a healthier way. I found myself to be calmer and thinking clearly when I started working out. I became more aware of the things I was doing so I was able to stop the pulling of my lashes and eyebrows because I was then conscious of what I was doing.

Mental health plays a role in beauty as well. If you're sad it will show eventually. We may try to cover it up with makeup, but some blemishes are much too deep for that. My advice to you is to get help, no matter if you feel no one can relate.. GET HELP!  You don't want to damage your appearance or anything worse.

In this big world of beauty you never know who may share the same struggles as you. Tell a trusted friend or if you feel you have no one you can always call on Trevor... I did many nights. They are the best in simply being a listing ear when you need it most.

Still think buying lashes is better than working for them? Take it from me, when you work hard for your lashes and eyebrows you cherish them more, you love them more and hey, they do look better than those strips and drawn on things (no shade).

Solange Knowles: The Newly Weds

Ladies and Gents let us all congratulate Solange and Alan Ferguson on their newly tied nuptials! This New Orleans wedding was breathtaking! She took traditional and added her own modern twist to it.

Solange sported a stunning Humberto Leon for Kenzo floor-length gown with an attached cape. She rocked a red lip, big bold beautiful hair and gold accessories to compliment her.

Accompanied by her husband in an all white sleek suit, Solange also
wore a white Stephanie Rolland jumpsuit, with accented deep low-cuts around the neck line and the lower back.

November Brings Good Things

As if returning to Instagram wasn't enough, the world's favorite Bad Gal, Rihanna will be appearing in this month's Elle magazine cover story. She will also be gracing the cover. She looks absolutely fab in this spread. The issue will drop nationwide November 18th. The shoot was taken by famed photographer Paola Kudacki and styled by Lori Goldstein.

Although Rih Rih donned different looks and styles within each photograph, it all comes together for a very chic and editorial look with her Bad Gal spin. You can preview the magazine issue on elle.com.

And Then Came Braids😍

Greetings and Fashion, From Blogger Ty!!

For the last couple months with the weather Changing I've been braiding my hair! Why? Because of course I'm Thrifty Tiffiany and because you can style them in many ways, but I recently stumbled upon a certain artist who has been rocking them Flawlessly! Ms Keri Baby!!

Keri Hilsons Braids are nice!! They are so neat and cute! Quite as its kept she's beautiful! The braids just add to her skin tone! I'm loving it! I need the number to her Braider! I'm Serious!!!

They're Fabulous 💋💋💋

Love Ty Ty!!!!
Peace, Love, and a whole Bunch of Fashion!!!!

Night face (Baby smoke)

Step 1:  You're eyebrows... They make you're face. They're cousins, not twin sisters. No need I have them the EXACT same. If you're anywhere near as lazy as I am, you don't get your brows done very often. Concealing those bad boys are a MUST when you're stepping out. You do this in just TWO simple steps... Trace the concealer around your eyebrows! Then, blend until you get this, no harsh lines!
(NO I do not fill in my eyebrows, but you can)
Step 2: Foundation! I don't use a lot, so you can put as much or as little as you'd like. You can blend this into your face with your finger or a foundation brush. I use the Real Techniques by: Sam & Nic Chapman expert face brush.
Step 3: This is what I like to call the Baby Smoke! The easiest way to get a smokey eye.
Step 4: Smudge the liner on your eyelids like such...
Step 5: Put this color over the black liner to give u a shimmering look for the night.
Step 6: Add this to your crease.
Step 7: Put this under your eyebrows and pull the access shadow down to even out the harsh lines.
Night look DONE!!

Halloween Showstoppers 😁

Can we all take a moment of silence for the slayage that occurred this past Halloween weekend. Keri and her handsome beau stepped out as the Nigerian Goddess and Pharoah! With the white horse serving as a show stopping accessory.

Y'all better SLAY Ms. Hilson! Amongst them all this was my favorite look this Halloween weekend!

They came! They slayed! They Conquered!
